Born in Cairo and now based in New York City, singer-songwriter Marwa Morgan creates a seamless dialogue between classical Arabic musical heritage and modern production.
Having started singing at age 12, her musical path has taken her from Cairo’s rich acoustic traditions to historic venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
Marwa’s lyrics capture the unfiltered weight, beauty, and ongoing journey of life as an immigrant woman.
